The objective here will be to identify those best management practices in agriculture that lead to mitigation of negative impacts of agricultural activities on ecosystem services. The Activity Analysis Model (AAM) will be used to model production technologies at a local scale. We will estimate best input vectors (e.g., production sectors, diversity degree) in order to be efficient with ecosystem service preservation. This study will be carried out in France and in the Netherlands at a large spatial scale (municipalities), using information pooled in WP1 and output from WP4. For each spatial unit, we will define its position in relation to an efficient frontier. Then we will produce a spatial typology that distinguishes rural areas by efficiency gradient to preserve ecosystem services.
