One of the strengths of the TRUSTEE project is that it will conduct research at different spatial scales that involve various disciplines: economics, geography, ecology, and agronomy. Primary data synthesis is therefore a crucial issue. The core objective of WP1 is to develop an integrated database system that is capable of storing, connecting, harmonising, and comparing the primary data; modeling results; and producing project documents, all to increase efficiency and effectiveness of research. Sub-objectives are: (i) Organise an integrated database as a project backbone, which will aggregate socio-economic, land use, and ecological data, all at different spatial scales; and (ii) Put original data and existing typologies in perspective, so as to choose and/or contextualise case studies.
1.1 : Organisation of an integrated database system as a project backbone
1.2 : Stocktaking of policy measures that impact rural areas
1.3 : Case study choice
